- A 12-member “blue ribbon” panel was formed to study fare evasion on the subways and buses, along with uncollected tickets on its two commuter railroads, and toll dodgers on the Authority’s seven bridges and two tunnels. - Despite Mayor Eric Adams’s efforts to bolster policing and street safety in NYC, crime rose in New York City in April across most major categories along with an increase in traffic violence, data by NYPD shows.
