- Cun Chen of 811 Tower LLC, the owner of the lot located between Eighth and Ninth avenues, near the 9th Avenue subway station, has filed for permits to build a six-story mixed-use building at 811 45th St. in Sunset Park. The building will have 23 residences, most likely rentals. (New York YIMBY)
- A Sunset Park mom is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation after she dropped her 6-month-old boy from the second-floor balcony of a home on 51st Street. The boy is in critical condition at the hospital. (WABC-TV)
- More than $6.3 million in federal funding has been allocated for anti-gun violence organizations, announced Gov. Kathy Hochul. The funding will allow for seven programs, including two in Brooklyn, to expand their anti-gun violence work. (Brooklyn Daily Eagle)

- The NYPD is searching for two masked suspects, both in surgical masks, who broke the window of a parked car and robbed the driver before fleeing. The 40-year-old victim was sitting at the corner of 5th Avenue and 34th Street when his window was smashed, and his phone, wallet, and keys stolen. Surveillance videos of the crime were released as the suspects remain at large. (NBC New York)
