Here are the top stories in Sunset Park today:
- A man was found dead on a park bench on Wednesday morning. Police responded to a 911 call in Sunset Park near Fifth Avenue and 44th Street, where they found the 44-year-old man. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, as the Medical Examiner works to determine the cause of death. (Patch)
- The Dezeen School's latest show by students from the School of Visual Arts is a must see. The work combines research, design and a bird-watching center that is an "oasis of New York's wildlife for city kids." (Dezeen)
- The mayor is considering increasing the number of school safety officers assigned to check for weapons. So far this year officials have confiscated over 5,500 weapons from students. (New York City Patch)
