🌱 Sunset Park Daily: Man Dies After Finishing Brooklyn Half Marathon

Here are the top stories today in Sunset Park:

1. A man, 34, who was running in the Brooklyn Half Marathon collapsed and died after crossing the finish line. It was unclear exactly what caused the runner to collapse, but they were then taken to Coney Island Hospital and was pronounced dead. This marks the second time than a person has died during the race, after a 31-year-old died near the end of the race in 2014. (NBC New York)

5. An 18-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with manslaughter on Friday, after his cousin was found stabbed to death. Police believe that Jahmal Baird killed his cousin, Jahmer Wilson-Freeman, over an argument about an unsettled debt. Wilson-Freeman was rushed to a local hospital with stab wounds to chest, where he was later pronounced dead. (Subscription: New York Daily News)
