According to the FDNY, "one person was injured in a three-alarm fire that ripped through a Sunset Park apartment building," located at 5401 Seventh Ave. near 54th Street, about 7:05 a.m. Monday morning. One person was treated for injuries at the scene but refused transport to the hospital, FDNY officials said. (Patch)
4. The Brooklyn mother who dropped her infant boy from a balcony has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. When officers responded to the family's Mapleton residence, they found the 6-month-old boy severely injured, with multiple fractured ribs and broken bones. As of Saturday afternoon, the child remained in the ICU at Maimonides Medical Center. (MSN)
