- According to the FDNY, "one person was injured in a three-alarm fire that ripped through a Sunset Park apartment building," located at 5401 Seventh Ave. near 54th Street, about 7:05 a.m. Monday morning. One person was treated for injuries at the scene but refused transport to the hospital, FDNY officials said. (Patch)
- The Brooklyn mother who dropped her infant boy from a balcony has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. When officers responded to the family's Mapleton residence, they found the 6-month-old boy severely injured, with multiple fractured ribs and broken bones. As of Saturday afternoon, the child remained in the ICU at Maimonides Medical Center. (MSN)
