- Technology to scan large numbers of people for weapons exists, but can it handle the city's sprawling, vast subway system? Mayor Eric Adams is hoping so, even if human operators are there at the screening process to disarm someone carrying a weapon. Currently the thought is to try scanners at select locations as a deterrent. (HuffPost)
- Now through July 3, see the Green-Wood Cemetery Catacombs, 500 25th St., South Slope, Brooklyn. The artist Lau worked with "local Chinese funeral homes" to create "clay and chainmail works that resemble the jade robes worn during Taoist rituals." (Hyperallergic)
