- Will thunderstorms and rain dampen our Memorial Day weekend? Unfortunately, the forecast is grim, "Showers and thunderstorms are in New York City's forecast starting Thursday and extending all the way till Sunday," according to the National Weather Service. (Patch)
- Tuesday Mayor Eric Adams announced steps to modernize street vending regulations. The effort is to support business for street vendors and at the same time, provide access to healthy food for the vendor's customers. The Mayor is advancing the recommendations made in a report by the Street Vendor Advisory Board. (nyc.gov)
- An alleged sex trafficker, Somorie Moses, 45, was indicted for killing and dismembering Leondra Foster in Brooklyn in 2017. Moses discarded her body at a Bronx sanitation site. The indictment includes many other alleged instances in which Moses trafficked women over the years. (PIX 11 NY)
- Mayor Eric Adams is standing by his word of "making public safety the centerpiece of his campaign"; he is discussing with the State the possibility of installing weapon "scanners" at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. This comes after the shooting of a 48-year-old Goldman Sachs analyst who was killed by a gunman on the Q train. (Yahoo News)
