- The city announced a climate resiliency pilot program in Brooklyn meant to help ensure city infrastructure can handle extreme weather events. Included in the program is school construction in the Sunset Park subdistrict. (Brooklyn Daily Eagle)
- More than 800,000 non-citizen residents of New York City that hold green cards may soon be allowed to vote in local elections. The City Council will decide on the measure on December 9th. - The Brooklyn Museum is receiving a $50 million investment from City Hall. It plans on using the money to update its building, and to create a new wing dedicated to Brooklyn's history. (Brooklyn Paper)
