2 Men Beaten After Chasing Group Who Broke Into Nassau Car: Cops
Police say four people remain on the loose after they attacked two men who saw the group break into a car.
JERICHO, NY — Police are searching for four people who they said broke into a parked car in Jericho and stole multiple items, then attacked two people who saw what happened.
Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, four males broke into a car that was parked in the driveway of a Woodbridge Lane home. When residents in the home saw the break-in, the thieves took off, heading north on Woodbridge Lane.
Two men, ages 49 and 22, chased the thieves and a fight broke out on Parkside Drive, where police said the two victims were physically attacked. During the attack, one of the thieves pulled out a silver pistol and fired two shots. No one was struck.

The attackers then fled west on Parkside Drive, police said.
The older victim suffered blunt trauma to the back of his head, as well as a broken nose and bruises to his arms and legs. The younger victim suffered a forehead cut, a broken nose and bruises to his arms and legs. Both were taken to a hospital for medical treatment. An investigation remains ongoing.

Police described the suspect who fired the pistol as standing 5-feet-6-inches tall with dreadlocks. He was wearing a gray tank top.
Police described the second suspect as standing 6 feet tall, wearing a black doo rag, black shirt and a black backpack.
Police described the third suspect as 5-feet-6-inches tall, with a thick build and beard. He was wearing a red shirt and a surgical mask.
The fourth suspect was described as standing 5-feet-6-inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black shirt.
