Dog Dies In Nassau House Fire
The home was "fully engulfed in flames," and several fire departments were needed to extinguish it.
JERICHO, NY — A family dog died in a Jericho house fire on Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
Officers and firefighters were called to a home on Seaman Road at 4:02 a.m. for a fire. The home was "fully engulfed in flames" coming from the second floor, along with heavy smoke, police said.
All occupants escaped the house and no one was injured. The family's pet dog was found dead inside the home.

The Jericho Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames with the help of the Syosset, Hicksville, Westbury, Plainview, Bethpage, South Farmingdale, Glenwood and Carle Place fire departments.
The Arson Bomb Squad and the Nassau County Fire Marshall responded to the home. The investigation is ongoing.
