Homeless Man Charged With Robbery, Burglary: Police
According to police, he stole a "large amount" of marijuana from one victim and robbed another victim of the vape pens he had just sold him.

SYOSSET, NY — Nassau County police have arrested a homeless man they accuse of robbery and burglary, according to a release from the department.
Police say on Sept. 2, around 11:25 p.m., two men, including Rory Watkins, 35, forced their way into a Lincrest Street home and fought the man inside. One of them was armed with a pistol and hit the victim over the head with it, police say.
The two men took "a large amount of marijuana" from the home and drove off in a gray sedan, police say. The victim refused medical treatment.

Police say Watkins is also suspected of an Aug. 6 robbery in Hicksville. According to the release, Watkins was on Sara Place around 8:30 p.m. He sold a victim multiple vape pens and then robbed them back at gunpoint, the release says.
Watkins is charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree robbery, grand larceny and petite larceny.

His arraignment is Thursday, Sept. 19.
