Lanes on LIE In Syosset To Be Closed Overnight This Week

Work crews will be doing bridge maintenance, which will force the closure of some westbound lanes.

SYOSSET, NY — Lanes of the Long Island Expressway will be closed overnight this week so repairs can be made to the road.

The state Department of Transportation said it will be closing the westbound right and center lanes of the expressway between exits 43A for Robbins Lane and 42 for the Northern State Parkway. The lanes will be closed on Aug. 12 from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crews need to close the lanes to do bridge maintenance in the area.
