Nassau Apartment Fire Displaces Residents
Nearly a dozen fire departments responded to put out the blaze, which damaged other nearby units in the complex.
WOODBURY, NY — Nearly a dozen fire departments responded to an apartment fire in Woodbury Monday night.
According to officials, the fire started around 8 p.m. at one of the units in the Eagle Rock apartment complex, on Pond Road in Woodbury.
When firefighters arrived, flames were already coming out the front door and windows on both the first and second floor. Other nearby buildings were also damaged by the flames.

All of the occupants of the building had been safely evacuated. No one was injured.
The Syosset, Plainview, Hicksville, Melville, Locust Valley, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington Manor, East Norwich, Bethpage, Westbury and Oyster Bay fire departments all responded.

The Red Cross is helping to relocate the people who were displaced by the fire. An investigation into the cause is still ongoing.
