Nassau Woman Attacked Homeowner, Police Officer: PD
Police say the woman was rummaging through a shed, and attacked the homeowner when she was caught.

SYOSSET, NY — A woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say she assaulted a homeowner and officer.
According to police, around 2:20 a.m. on July 12, a 31-year-old woman saw Karla Velasquez, 24, of Roosevelt, rummaging through the shed in the back of her home on Greenvale Lane. The woman told Velasquez to leave the property, and police say she responded by kicking the woman in the stomach and biting her finger.
The woman called 911, and police responded. While trying to place Valesquez under arrest, police say she became violent and combative, injuring one officer.

Valesquez, the woman and the officer were tall taken to a hospital for treatment.
Velasquez is charged with second- and third-degree assault, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal trespassing. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
