Obituary: Cosimo Ivano Artale​, of Syosset, Dies at 70

Cosimo Ivano Artale, of Syosset, passed away on December 9, 2017. He was 70.

Ivano was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his grandchildren on fishing trips in the U.S. and Sicily.

His favorite moments included spending time with his family in his beloved homeland of Alcamo, Sicily.

He spent a lot of time there fishing, gardening and exploring the beautiful beaches. He also enjoyed coin collecting, antique shopping, reading Italian comic books and listening to Italian music.

Beloved husband of Meeri (nee Mustaniemi). Loving father of Matteo(Linda), Maria(Vincent) Cottone and Marco (Doris). Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Julia, Nicholas, Vincent, Gabriella, Marco, Giavanna, Marco and Mila. Devoted brother of Giovanni, Rosaria Amato, Silvana and Vittorio.
