Visitation: Thursday January 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Beney Funeral Home on 79 Berry Hill Road in Syosset.

Service: Friday, January 6 starting at 11 a.m. at the St. Edward R.C. Church on 205 Jackson Avenue in Syosset.

Obituary: Mary Ellen Burns, of Syosset, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3. She was 90.

She was predeceased in life by her husband, Albert.

Burns is survived by her children Mary Ellen, Carolyn, Michael, George, Mark, Patricia, Barbara, David, Cathy, Jacqueline, Christine, Deirdre and Angela as well as 16 grandchildren.
