Pedestrian Fatally Struck On LIE In Jericho Identified: Police
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a police department medic, Nassau police say.
JERICHO, NY —A pedestrian, who died after being struck by a FedEx truck on the Long Island Expressway in Jericho, has been identified, Nassau police said.
A 2004 FedEx truck, driven by a 28-year-old man, was traveling Sunday eastbound in the right lane on the Long Island Expressway when it struck a 33-year-old man between exits 40 West and 40 East at around 2:45 p.m., according to police.
The victim has been identified as Bryan Mejia, 33, of Bethpage, police said.
