Police Officer, Who Died Of 9/11-Related Cancer, Honored In Syosset
A street sign was named for Detective-Lieutenant Christopher Cizmarik, who died in December.

SYOSSET, NY — A dedication was scheduled for Thursday in Syosset honoring a longtime member of the Nassau County Police Department.
Detective Lieutenant Christopher Cizmarik, a 31-year member of the department, died of pancreatic cancer connected to working at Ground Zero after 9/11.
A street sign was unveiled near his family home at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Edward Avenue.
