Snow Total Estimates Released For Another Nor'easter

JUST IN: The National Weather Service has revealed its first snow total estimates for a midweek storm.

Another nor'easter is on the way and this one is expected to bring a decent amount of snow to Long Island.

Here's the latest from the National Weather Service:

  • Confidence continues to increase on another coastal low impacting the region Wednesday into Wednesday night with potential for a plowable snow across portions of the region.
  • A total of 4-6 inches of snow is expected for most of the island. The Twin Forks may see 2-3 inches. Those amounts, though, are uncertain with the storm still three days away.
  • The snow, which may mix with rain at first, is likely to begin falling Wednesday morning and continue throughout the day before ending around midnight.

Before we get to the snow, thanks to Friday's nor'easter, minor coastal flooding is possible during high tide times through Monday afternoon, the NWS says.
