The Syosset Board of Education honored six varsity sports teams for their outstanding fall season, at the board’s Jan. 12 meeting.
The teams honored included members of the Long Island Championship varsity football team, the County Championship girls swim team, the Conference Champion girls varsity soccer team, boys and girls varsity cross-country teams, which both won County Championships, and two members of the varsity girls tennis team.

The boys varsity cross-country team won a Nassau County Championship after securing a Division 1A title.
The girls varsity cross-country team won their fifth Nassau County Championship in seven years and were undefeated in league meets.
The girls varsity soccer team secured the Conference AA2 Championship with a 10-1 conference record.
The varsity swim team posted a perfect 8-0 season and earned a Nassau County Championship.
