Did you feel safe this holiday with extra police patrols?

Friday evening marks the end of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
While many Long Islanders were celebrating, police were increasing patrols around temples and synagogues to provide extra security during the High Holidays. Residents were also asked to "be the eyes and ears for the police department" and watch out for suspicious activity by County Executive Ed Mangano.
