Voter's Guide: Syosset 2018-19 School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

Those who reside within the area of Syosset Schools will vote on the district's $230,346,020 proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday, May 15.

The proposal calls for a 2.97 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 2.26 percent, which is within the tax levy cap.

Residents will be able to vote for three candidates to the Syosset Board of Education. They are:

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Robbins Lane Elementary School— Robbins Lane and South Grove elementary school attendance zone
  • H.B. Thompson Middle School— A.P. Willits and Baylis elementary school attendance zone
  • Syosset High School— Walt Whitman, Berry Hill and Village elementary school attendance zone
