Friends describe him as a quiet, selfless supporter of newly arrived Afghan families and are now raising donations to help his wife with funeral costs and living expenses.

Two former Section III stars elected to Girls Soccer Hall of Fame (syracuse.com) — Two former Section III standouts with roots in Liverpool and East Syracuse Minoa are being honored in the New York State High School Girls Soccer Hall of Fame’s 2026 class. Kerry Dziczkaniec and Jennifer Hughes, both recognized as Syracuse-area legends, built record-setting high school and college careers and have gone on to long coaching and sports careers beyond Central New York.
