Water authority urges people to use less water in 6 Central NY towns after major break (syracuse.com) — Residents in Syracuse’s eastern suburbs are being asked to immediately cut back on non-essential water use after a major OCWA transmission main carrying Lake Ontario water broke. Towns including Manlius, DeWitt, Pompey, Sullivan, Lenox and Lincoln could see lower pressure for up to a week while crews complete complex repairs. OCWA will post updates online and warns of delays on its emergency line.
