Student, 16, Arrested After Stabbing At Syracuse High School
A 15-year-old student was stabbed during a fight at Fowler High School's Public Service Leadership Academy, according to a report.
SYRACUSE, NY — A 16-year-old student has been arrested in connection with Tuesday's stabbing of another student at Fowler High School in Syracuse, according to reports.
A 15-year-old student was stabbed Tuesday during a fight on the second floor of the school's Public Service Leadership Academy, Syracuse.com reported citing district spokesman Michael Henesey. Multiple people were involved in the fight.
The victim was taken to the hospital and was expected to survive, Syracuse.com reported.

Emergency crews arrived at the school just before 9:40 a.m. Tuesday and found the teen "bleeding profusely." The school was placed on lockdown while police investigated.

The victim was stabbed with a knife, Henesey told Syracuse.com, though it's unclear how the weapon made it past the school's metal detectors.
The 16-year-old suspect, who was not named, was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The teen is being held at Hillbrook Detention Center, Syracuse.com reported.
