Accident Aftermath In Sleepy Hollow Continues To Block Route 9

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — An accident in Sleepy Hollow on Route 9 Tuesday morning closed all lanes and knocked out electrical and internet services.
Village officials said, around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, that most electric power and internet services have been restored, but the section of Route 9 affected by the accident — between Route 448 and Pocantico Street, north- and southbond — remains closed until further notice. Motorists are advised avoid the area and expect some traffic delays.
According to 511NY, the crash happened around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. A utility pole and wires was downed on Route 9.

No injuries were reported, the village said, but the accident was anticipated to cause outages to electric and internet services in the area.
