GREENBURGH, NY — Shortly after Chick-Fil-A got provisional approval for its first Hudson Valley restaurant, the extremely popular fast-food chain is looking to open another location — this time in the town of Greenburgh.

The company has submitted a site plan/special permit application to the town of Greenburgh for the former CVS Pharmacy site at 20 Tarrytown Rd. (Route 119).

Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner said the materials are being reviewed by multiple agencies including town staff, the town’s traffic consultant, New York’s Department of Transportation, the city of White Plains and others.

The Planning Board will review the project when it is referred to them which will be after the initial reviews.

According to a letter from Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, lawyers for Chick-Fil-A, the restaurant is proposing demolishing the existing vacant CVS building to construct a new 5,000-square-foot fast food establishment with a double lane drive-thru.

The project includes 80 parking spaces or 112 spaces with the proposed drive-thru.

Chick-Fil-A said the proposed building and drive-thru is located entirely in the town of Greenburgh. However, the additional related off-street parking is located on the White Plains portion of the project site.

Hours for the restaurant, if it comes to fruition, will be 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The project will employ 60 to 80 construction trade workers during the redevelopment of the site and likely between 125 and 150 employees on a full-time and part-time basis when the restaurant is open, the company said.
