David A. Dietz, a lifelong resident of Tarrytown, died May 17, 2013. He was 81.
He was born on September 12, 1931 to Theresa and Frank Dietz. He graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School then served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn, of Tarrytown. He is also survived by his sisters Marie Galassi and Theresa Riley as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Richard, and Thomas as well as a sister Regina.
He was a member of the Catholic War Veteras, Chapter 34 and the American Legion Post in Elmsford. David was an avid gardener and enjoyed working on cars.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME INC. in Tarrytown. His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at Transfiguration Church. Interment follows at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at coffeyfuneralhome.com
