ELMSFORD, NY — It will be business as usual Tuesday, March 21, which is village election day in Elmsford.

What will be different is, when Elmsford voters go to the polls they will be facing a blank ballot.

The only race the village is filling is for one justice position. However, no one is running for the job.

Elmsford Village Administrator Michael Mills told Patch that no petitions were filed to appear on the ballot.

“The County Board of Elections, who runs the Village Election, has advised us that no names will appear on the ballot,” he said in an email.

Mills said if anyone decides to run now, “their name would have to be written onto the ballot on election day.”

Other than having to manually write in a vote for Elmsford justice, it will be a normal village election, Mills said.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 21.
