Goosefeather Celebrating Pride Month With Pig Roast, Special Drinks

TARRYTOWN, NY — It’s Pride month and Goosefeather in Tarrytown will be celebrating with two drink specials that give back to the LGBTQ+ community.

Plus the celebration will continue with a Pink Party Pig Roast that features bottomless rosé and an all-you-can-eat menu.

All through June Goosefeather will be serving “A Friend of Dorothy,” a special Pride month libation made with gin, ginger, lemon, cranberry and butterfly pea tea for $18. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that provides mental health resources, outreach and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth.

The special drink menu will also offer Sloop Brewing Co.’s “Pixie Dust Pride” New England IPA, both inside the restaurant and on the lawn. A portion of proceeds from sales will go to LGBTQ+ organizations throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley.

The Pink Party Pig Roast will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday on the front lawn of Goosefeather.

The bottomless rosé will be courtesy of Wines du Monde via the Rosé Table. The all-you-can-eat menu will consist of Wood-Fired Roasted Pig, Sweet & Spicy Collard Greens, Roasted Beet Salad, Smoky Baked Beans and Cheddar Cornbread.

Chef Dale Talde told Patch that “Pink is the drink of the summer, and we’re pumped to be partnering with Wines du Monde to showcase their rosé at this party.”

He said it’s a palate-pleaser that will pair well with the pig roast feast.

“We love a festive gathering, so we’re going all out with the pink theme,” Talde said. “It’s going to be a good time.”

The base ticket price — $125 per person — is self-service for bar and food stations, with seating available first come, first serve.

Guests may, however, also reserve a private pod — for an additional $75 — which includes a table with lounge seating as well as a dedicated server. Pods will receive family style platters of the menu and bottles of rosé, which will be continuously replenished.

A cash bar with additional beverage options will also be available.

Entertainment includes music from Goosefeather’s resident DJ, as well as lawn games.

Guests are encouraged to dress in pink.
