Goosefeather Throwing A 'Spook-Tacular' Halloween Bash

TARRYTOWN, NY — The annual Halloween party at Goosefeather is back.

The whole family is welcome — even well-behaved pets — for a fun-filled day of “spook-tacular” activities, according to organizers.

The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29.

Owner and Chef Dale Talde told Patch there are a couple of different routes for a Halloween party: something for adults only or something for the whole family.

“I have two young kids myself, and they love Halloween,” he said, “the costumes, the candy and all the festivities that come with it.”

Talde said, for him, it was a no-brainer to make Goosefeather’s Halloween party a family friendly event.

“We wanted to create a fun atmosphere for our community to come together and spend the afternoon with their kids, their friends and their neighbors,” he said.

There will be plenty for the kids to do, and the adults can enjoy great food and drink, as well as lawn games and the DJ, Talde said.

Besides, Goosefeather’s outdoor areas will be closing soon for the season, he said.

“So this is a great way to soak up the last days of warm weather,” Talde said.

Activities include lawn games, bounce houses, face painting, costume contests, raffles and live music. A candy hunt will take place at noon promptly.

Food and drink will be available for purchase. The menu is:

• Burgers: $10
• Hot dogs: $5
• Beef, chicken, pork skewers: $14 for four pieces
• Wings: $8
• Corn: $5
• Hummus with carrots: $12

Organizers said that the event will take place on the front lawn. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled with no rain date; tickets will be refunded.

Admission is $15 per person age 10 and up; free for 9 and under.
