GREENBURGH, NY — The town of Greenburgh Board of Ethics needs a Republican or an independent to fill a vacancy.

Supervisor Paul Feiner said the town code requires the board to include representatives of different political parties.

“If you reside in the town of Greenburgh (including the villages) and are a registered Republican or Independent and would like to be considered please e-mail townboard@greenburghny.com,” he said.

Blase J. Spinozzi, the chairwoman of the Board of Ethics, said the board’s makeup now is one Republican, one Independent, two Democrats and a Democrat/Alternate appointment, which does not fill the vacant seat of either a Republican or an Independent.

She requested that the Town Board continue its efforts to fill the one vacant seat and perhaps a second alternate. That would ensure the board will always have a quorum.
