Greenburgh Police Accuse Yonkers Man Of Stealing From Vehicle
After fleeing from the scene, the police said the man was seen trying to steal a delivery van.
GREENBURGH, NY — A Yonkers man was arrested in Greenburgh after being accused of stealing from a car.
The Town of Greenburgh Police Department said, shortly before 4 a.m. March 14, officers were sent to Old Lane in the Edgemont section of Greenburgh for a report of a suspicious person.
An investigation by patrol officers found there was an attempted theft from a vehicle.

The officers said they checked the area and saw a man who immediately fled from them.
Subsequently, the man was located by officers in the parking lot of 702 Central Park Ave. trying to steal a delivery van, police said.

Erich Edwardo Cruz, 27, of Yonkers, was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
He was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies.
