Greenburgh Police Investigating Ruse To Steal Cash
Authorities said the victim had just withdrawn money from the bank when she was distracted by two people who said she had dropped some cash.
GREENBURGH, NY — Police in Greenburgh are investigating a theft of money from a car.
The Town of Greenburgh Police Department said that, around 11:30 a.m. Monday, a woman who had made a withdrawal from the Chase Bank at 409 Tarrytown Rd. was approached by a man and woman while she was at her car.
The couple was holding money and said to the victim that she had dropped it.

The victim got out of her car to look at the money on the ground, but when she got back in her car, she realized her envelope containing her cash had been stolen.
Police said that anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Greenburgh Detective Division at 914-989-1725.
