Do you know how to barn dance? Do you want to learn? Check out this video for a little primer, taken during this weekend's CORNucopia festival in Sleepy Hollow.
It was the first run of this new event at Philipsburg Manor, and by all counts it seemed a success, from the good turnout numbers to happy visitors, including a flock of sheep brought in for the occasion.
There were many hands-on activities from wandering the corn "maize" to fashioning a scarecrow, cornhusk doll or switch broom. All kinds of corn-infused treats were available to eat, including Blue Hill's amazing sweet corn ice cream with a blueberry sauce.
You could even learn how to recreate the corny magic at home with this food demo on Corn Salad, recipe here. And of course you can try this barn dance at home, if you have a big family...and a barn.
