Local Chefs Launch Home Culinary Class, Catering Business

Want to impress your friends at your next dinner party, or make sure your first newlywed meal is flawless?

You can learn how to craft healthy culinary masterpieces in your own home from renowned Rockland County chefs Angela Rivera and Anthony Accomando new endeavor “Chop Culinary Entertainment.” 

“Our goal is to teach our clients how to enjoy food that is good for you without sacrificing the enjoyment of bold flavors and diverse tastes,” said Rivera, a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary, in a press release. “Our mission is to teach people how to fall in love with food in a way that can enrich their lives long term.”

Rivera was the director of the Culinary Arts Program at the Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry and also ran the on campus café serving organic cuisine. 

Accomando, a classically trained chef of the prestigious French Culinary Institute, opened two restaurants in Pearl River and Haverstraw; was named as one of the "Chefs to Watch" by Liz Johnson of the Journal News; was also featured in "Where to Eat" in Hudson Valley Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

Chop Culinary Entertainment offers private home instruction, intimate themed catering, group classes and cooking parties for both adults and children. Chop Culinary Entertainment promotes healthy eating and uses local products when possible.  

“We offer our clients a fun yet sophisticated alternative when planning their next party,” said Accomando, in a press release.

Chop Culinary Entertainment also offers corporate events and can offer lessons and catering menus from French foods to organic and local vegan fare.
