On this heat-advisory day, near one of the more dangerous intersections in the villages, a Sleepy Hollow water department crew is at work to replace a manhole.
This is the spot - on North Broadway just south of the Beekman clock - where the manhole cover dramatically exploded recently, sending one car into a spin.
The roadway lanes are open each direction but narrowed with orange cones, so motorists should exercise caution.
