Music Festival Coming To Sleepy Hollow: 'Promises To Be A Great Show'

In June, Kingsland Point Park will see a line-up of internationally touring bands in full view of the Hudson River.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — Sleepy Hollow is set to be known for more than Halloween attractions thanks to the announcement of the inaugural Sleepy Hollow Music Festival.

On June 8, Kingsland Point Park will see a line-up of internationally touring bands, including Cold War Kids, Danielle Ponder, The Verve Pipe and Nightingale All-Stars featuring John Popper of Blues Traveler.

Sleepy Hollow Music Festival spokesperson Burns Patterson told Patch the festival will kick off at midday with two local favorites: Anthony Giaccio and the Assortments and Clair Maloney and the Great Adventure.

“These bands and performers are known for unforgettable festival performances at venues across the country and internationally,” he said, “so it promises to be a great show.”

Patterson said the launch of the Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is exciting for many reasons.

“The festival, and its amazing location overlooking the Hudson River in Kingsland Point Park,” he said, “will remind visitors that Sleepy Hollow is much more than a Halloween Season destination,” with its wonderful riverfront paths and recreation, great dining experience and more.

Patterson said the festival site, which is adjacent to the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse and the Riverwalk at Edge-on-Hudson, is within walking distance of the Tarrytown and Philipse Manor Metro-North stations, will be alive with award-winning food and beverage options, including craft-beer highlighting local breweries, tastings from regional distilleries, a range of popular food trucks and more.

There will also be activities for children and even an appearance by the headless horseman with a guitar in hand.

And the announcement that ticket sales are now open is fortuitous because of the season.

“Though June may seem far away,” Patterson said. “Sleepy Hollow Music Festival tickets make great holiday gifts! What’s more, ticket prices will rise closer to the festival date, so we encourage everyone to buy tickets in advance.”

Support for the Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is provided by a Market New York grant awarded to the village of Sleepy Hollow from I LOVE NY/New York State’s Division of Tourism through the Regional Economic Development Council initiative.
