ELMSFORD, NY — A soon-to-air NBC sitcom will film scenes this week in a Westchester County business, according to Elmsford officials.

The new show, "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins," is being produced by Tina Fey, and will star Tracy Morgan as a disgraced former athlete who is looking for a road to redemption.

The show, which will be filming in Elmsford on Thursday, will also star fellow Saturday Night Live alum Bobby Moynihan. Daniel Radcliffe has also signed on to the project, which was officially picked up by the network this spring.

Mayor Bob Williams said the latest production to film in Elmsford offers more than just an opportunity for neighbors to do a little star watching.

"Every year major Films and TV Series are filmed right here in Elmsford starring big name actors and actresses," Williams said in a statement. "These filming days have proven to be beneficial to the Village and to businesses in Elmsford. The movie company pays a permit fee to the Village, if needed they also pay for police for traffic etc. They pay to use the facility they are filming at, and they shop at many Elmsford businesses for food and supplies for the filming."

While television shows collect their own loyal fans, Williams said that the village has made fans of its own along the way as well.

"Many of the crew have returned to Elmsford after the filming to do business with a business they saw, or did business with while here," the mayor said. "Plus, when you go to see the movie, or watch the show on TV, you can say, that scene was filmed in Elmsford. You should stop by to see what goes into filming a scene."
