North Broadway Gas Leak Evacuation
First Bellas and then Mr. Nick's experienced risky gas leaks.
Bellas Restaurant was recently the source of a gas leak that left some employees of next door neighbor 7-Eleven feeling light-headed.
More recently, the building Mr. Nick's Pizza sits in had to be evacuated for the same problem.
A caller to Tarrytown Police on Nov. 28 at 10:28 a.m. reported she smelled natural gas at 21 North Broadway. The Fire Department responded; Fire Chief confirmed the odor and reported that the building was being evacuated. The Fire Department in turn notified Con Edison.

At 11:30 a.m., the Fire Chief reported the gas was coming from a pizza oven at Mr. Nick’s brick oven restaurant. The oven was shut down and a plumber was responding to repair.
