Police: Alleged EF Student Mischief

A Con Edison worker guarding some downed wires reported to Tarrytown Police witnessing some alleged mischief from teen EF students.

A Con Edison security officer reported to police on Nov. 24 at 2:13 a.m. that he was guarding downed wires in front of Union Avenue when he witnessed some bad, and potentially dangerous, teen behavior.

The worker said four male teenagers had ripped caution tap down that was blocking the area due to the downed wires. The teens apparently also knocked down traffic cones and threw one cone on the hood and windshield of the car he had been sitting in.

The teens then reportedly walked back toward the EF Education First. Officers searched the area and could not find the teens in question. The worker said his car did not sustain any damage.

Lieutenant William Herguth repeatedly warned citizens in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to mind the cones and caution tape. They are there for a reason, he said.
