Police: Cleaning Lady Troubles in Tarrytown

Tarrytown Police investigated two separate incidents with cleaning ladies in the village recently.

An Altamont Avenue resident reported to police on July 5 that she had jewelry stolen from her home a month prior.

She said that cleaning personnel were in her home on June 6, when she believed the theft took place. She had contacted the owner of the cleaning company and informed them of the alleged theft.

Police filed a case for grand larceny.

A Sheldon Avenue resident reported finding their cleaning lady intoxicated at their home earlier that day and sending her home.

A man called Tarrytown Police on July 9 at 5:27 p.m. and said that his parents were away and he was unsure if anything was missing from the home.

Upon police arrival, he said that an unknown amount of cash and possibly his father's credit card were missing.

He requested the incident be noted for the record at this time until he could follow up with his parents.
