Police Investigate Another Grand Larceny Case Against Village of Tarrytown

Tarrytown's village treasurer, Jim Hart, recently reported to Tarrytown police the cashing of fraudulent village checks, again.

Hart reported on June 13 at 1:29 p.m. that false village checks had been cashed at a Bronx location for a total $1,942.22.

Detectives are investigating this as a grand larceny case.

This follows a similar case investigated and concluded recently in arrest:

On the morning of April 9, Hart claimed that three village checks had been fraudulently cashed at a Chase Bank on Long Island.

On April 18 at 4:20 p.m., Tarrytown detectives had tracked down their suspect and reported an arrest of a young woman on charges of grand larceny and possession of a forged instrument.

Seleyna Cruz, 19, of Suffolk County, was arraigned by Judge Kyle McGovern with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond and a return court date.
