Police Investigate Bad Checks Cashed
Tarrytown Police are looking into a grand larceny case where checks have been cashed against a Tarrytown agency's account.
A White Street agency reported to Tarrytown Police on Dec. 26 several fraudulent checks had had been cashed and funds withdrawn from their account.
Police filed a grand larceny since the funds exceeded $1,000.
Lieutenant William Herguth said the checks, either stolen or reproduced, have been cashed at different place s but “we don’t believe any larcenies occurred here.”

Herguth couldn’t reveal any more details for the case under investigation.
