Tarrytown Police and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to two separate incidents of men getting injured in two non-car accidents in the village. One man had to be hospitalized after a bike fall, another had an ankle injury when he fell on Main Street.
Man Falls off Bike, Hurts Head
A 911 caller reported to police on August 30 at 6:26 a.m. that a man had fallen off his bike and been injured.
The caller was at the Shell Station and said the accident happened at Route 119 and Route 9. Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Greenburgh Paramedic responded along with police.
The man, who police report sustained head and facial injuries, was transported to the Westchester Medical Center.
Fallen on Main
A caller on Sept. 3 at 9:15 p.m. reported that a man had fallen in the street on Main Street. When officers arrived the man was on the sidewalk opposite 1 River Plaza and said that he had tripped on a two-inch dip in the roadway pavement along the south curb. He had pain and swelling in his ankle.
Police took photos and the man was taken to the hospital by TVAC.
