Police: Sleepy Hollow Road Marijuana Bust

A summary of incidents in Sleepy Hollow from January 1 to January 4, 2012

The following information was supplied by the Sleepy Hollow Police Department:

Citizen Returns Wallet

On January 2 at 6:19 p.m., a person came into police headquarters to hand in a wallet he had found on Chestnut Street. The wallet was a black “Perlina” with NYS license, Visa credit card, USAA debit card, and no cash. Police contacted the owner who would be coming the next day to pick it up.

Bathroom Damage

On January 3 at 8:52 a.m., the Sleepy Hollow fire chief reported that someone had broken into the bathroom at Barnhardt Park. An unknown person had pushed in a vent on the door causing minimal damage. The DPW would repair the cover.

Marijuana Arrests

On January 3 at 9:23 p.m., Sleepy Hollow Police along with the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force report the arrest of two for unlawful possession of marijuana on Sleepy Hollow Road. A 21-year-old Sleepy Hollow woman and 26-year-old Tarrytown man were issued court appearance tickets and released on their own recognizance.
