Police: Tenant Won't Return Home Until Landlord Fixes Bat Problem

A North Washington Street apartment resident, who had previously complained of bats in his building, now said he was receiving retaliatory text messages from his landlord.

The tenant complained to Tarrytown Police on June 18 at 6:20 p.m. that his landlord was texting him demands to remove his tools from the property or they would be thrown out.

The tenant told police he thought these messages were in response to his report to the building department of a bat problem in the residence.

He told police he would like the incident noted for the record since he was not currently staying there until the bat problem was cleared up.
