Port Chester Man Drives Drunk While Traveling Wrong Way On Thruway
Police said the man cause a crash while traveling north on the southbound Interstate 87 in Greenburgh.
GREENBURGH, NY — A Port Chester man was accused of drunken driving after causing a car crash because he was going the wrong way on the Thruway.
The New York State Police said troopers were sent around 10:45 p.m. Thursday to the New York State Thruway southbound in Greenburgh for a reported car crash involving a wrong-way driver.
Police said that Juan Sinchim, 38, of Port Chester, was driving north on Interstate 87 in the southbound passing lane when he collided with another car.

He was taken into custody and transported to Westchester Medial Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Simchim was released from the hospital and charged with driving while intoxicated.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court April 24 and released to a sober third party.
