Tarrytown Union Free School District

Sleepy Hollow High School held its class of 2024 graduation ceremony on the Harold “Doc” Rasbeck Field on June 20. Surrounded by their families, beloved educators, and their peers, the group of 191 students sat together for the last time as they celebrated the completion of their time at the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns.

Principal Dr. Deborah Brand commenced the ceremony with a heartfelt speech, sharing memories of the graduating class. She noted how strong and inspiring they all are, expressing how wonderful it has been watching them grow over the years.

“The entire faculty and staff are so proud of the Class of 2024. They have endured many challenges during their high school years, yet they have not let those obstacles deter their spirit or limit their successes. We are confident that their future endeavors will be impactful and fulfilling, and we wish them all the best,” said Sleepy Hollow Principal Dr. Deborah Brand.

The newly minted Sleepy Hollow graduates are ready for their next chapter, four are headed to the military, seven will be attending either a trade school, ACCESS VR, or direct employment, and 180 will be heading off to college.

“I want you all to follow your dreams. I know you have all worked hard and have incredible contributions to give the world,” said Marina.

In a final farewell and a nod to their completion of their time at the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, the students joyously threw their caps in the air. Families cheered their graduates on and rumbling could be heard throughout the stadium.

“Our high school scholars have demonstrated their readiness to move beyond the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns and embrace the world. I wish them all the best and eagerly anticipate the positive impact they will make in the world,” said Superintendent Dr. Raymond Sanchez.
