Sleepy Hollow Man Accused of Stealing from Irvington Employer

Police said the 19-year-old was taking funds from his employer's register.

A 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident is charged with stealing from his employer, a North Broadway business in Irvington, police said.

According to the Irvington Police Department, the suspect was arrested June 18 at 1:55 a.m. following an investigation.

He is charged with Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, an E Felony.

Police allege the man was deleting records of sales from the cash register at his place of work and taking the proceeds from these sales at the end of his shifts.

Police said they are continuing to add up the total amount of funds stolen from the business and additional charges may be filed.

The man posted $200 bail following his arrest and is due back in Irvington Village Court on July 1.
